Lyons Track Down Big Cat
Daily Star: 21st March 2007
A family claims it has gathered “conclusive evidence” of a big cat roaming their neighbourhood.
The Lyon family has taken casts of two giant paw prints the size of a human hand left in a muddy patch of their back garden.
After a stormy night, mum Frances, 38, and daughter Shelley, 15, went outside to hang out the washing in the morning sun when they discovered the huge prints in the mud.
Frances, who lives in Pitkennedy, near Forfar, believes the prints are from a puma or panther.
She said: “There is no other animal around here that could make such a deep and large footprint as that.”
Frances, along with her husband Scott, 38, and their three children Shelley, Scott, 12, and Eddie, three, are now meeting a ‘big cat expert’ who wants to view the casts for himself.
Shaun Stevens, of Big Cats in Britain said: We register three sightings on average a week in Scotland. Many people never report what they’ve seen. I believe there could be 40 big cats roaming wild in Scotland.
Do you have any information on the above reports. Were you the person
