Another Big Cat Sighting: Donegal

The Donegal Democrat: June 2007

While people in the neighbouring county of Tyrone have reported on a number of occasions sightings of a 'big cat', a similar creature has now been seen in the Newtowncunningham area. A lorry driver who had parked overnight in the car park at The Courtyard Garden Centre found a rubbish bag ripped open and a large paw print on a pair of trousers he'd hung out; an expert at Belfast Zoo confirmed that the paw print could have been made by a puma. A further report of a 'long lean black cat' believed to be a puma came from a resident of Dunkineely in the south of the county.

Do you have any information on the above reports. Were you the person involved, or are you aware of any more sightings in this area. We would appreciate any information that you could give us.

Have your say on the forum.
