INVESTIGATORS are set to establish a network of webcams in big cat hotspots across Scotland.
They hope they will be able to net conclusive evidence that pumas, leopards and lynx have been hiding in the heather. Data obtained under the Freedom of Information Act shows that almost 200 sightings of big cats were reported to Scottish police forces between 2000 and 2006.
The webcam venture is the brainchild of investigative group Big Cats in Britain. It will mean people will be able to go big cat spotting from their own home via their computer, said a spokesman.
The most popular areas for spotting the creatures were Grampian and Fife, with 55 and 42 reported incidents.
Do you have any information on the above reports. Were you the person
involved, or are you aware of any more sightings in this area. We would appreciate any information that you could
give us.
Have your say on the forum.
