Wildcat Sightings
A WILD cat biting the ears off a sheep was just one of 20 suspected
'big cat' reports dealt with by Sussex Police, figures have revealed.
The caller claimed a feline beast must be responsible for the death
after searching for information on the internet.
The slain sheep was discovered on land opposite Wiston Pond in
November 2004.
It was just one of four suspected sightings in the West Sussex area
reported to officers between February 2004 and November 2005.
In total, across the whole of the Sussex region, 20 reports of
possible exotic cats were reported to police.
