Visitor Spots Panther in a Field near Ulverston
A FRESH sighting of a mysterious big black cat has been reported near
Ulverston.
Pillion motorcycle passenger Glenda England says she spotted a panther
at Newland on Sunday.
Mrs England, 51, from Fleetwood, Lancashire, was heading to Dalton
with her husband Derek, 52, when she saw the large creature in a field
alongside the A590.
The worried visitor watched the prowling animal while her husband
stopped their motorbike in traffic at about 1pm.
Mrs England contacted the Evening Mail with her concerns.
She said: "I was scared to death. I felt sick and was shivering. I was
really close to this thing."
