All White My Deer? - White Stag Caught on Video
A Real-life Harry Potter white stag has been spotted in the Forest of Dean.
The stag was caught on video camera by wild cat expert Danny Nineham.
The footage shows the majestic buck leading a herd of deer through woods.
Mr Nineham said: "The herd went past when I had just finished filming with a couple of students from Gloucestershire University.
"They missed the stag but because I know they are creatures of habit I knew where they were going and was able to get this video."
The magnificent beast will look familiar to Potter fans, as a white stag was used as Harry's "petronus" - a creature magically produced to protect the hero.
Author JK Rowling grew up in the Forest and some scenes for the Potter chronicles were shot at Gloucester Cathedral.
This buck will be a welcome sight for many in the Forest after a white stag was killed by a car last year and then decapitated by trophy hunters near Moseley Green.
Mr Nineham added: "People thought that was the only white stag in the Forest but I have seen many. There are at least eight."
