Snakes Alive it's a Python!
By Dick Bellringer
A PYTHON found curled up on the embankment on Andover's Micheld-ever Road is safe and well and looking to being reunited with its owner.
The six feet long snake was found by Mrs Susan Metcalf as she and daughter, Abbey, aged eight, were walking the family dog near the iron footbridge on Sunday.
The dog, a husky/collie cross called Duchess, at first pounced at the python but then thought better of it. All three ran to their Wolversdene Road home where Mrs Metcalf told husband David of the find.
Mrs Metcalf said: "My husband went out with a cool bag and a deck scrubber and managed to catch it. He brought it back to the house and we called the RSPCA."
The snake is now in the safe hands of the RSPCA but Mrs Metcalf is keen to see it reunited with its owner.
