Did Anyone Else see a Porcupine in Hopwas.
On our way home on Friday night, just before 12am, we dropped some
friends off in Hints and travelled down Hints Lane to Hopwas.
To our amazement there was a creature running in front of the mini bus.
The driver spotted it and we realised it was a porcupine! We were
totally amazed as this beautiful but huge creature ran in front of the
headlights for 50 yards.
Where had it come from? Porcupines are native to Canada and America.
Our only thought was that it could have escaped from a nearby zoo.
I will contact local zoos and the RSPCA as research on the Internet
says they are classed as dangerous animals and people need to have a
licence to look after them.
Has anyone else seen this? I think it beats the Roman soldiers....
