Police Search on for 12ft Snake
The search is on for a 12ft snake after a woman spotted it in her garden.
Cambridgeshire Police were alerted after the woman saw the snake -
which is brown with black spots - outside her home in Gascoigne on
Thursday.
Officers arrived at the woman's home and searched her garden but were
unable to find the snake.
A photograph taken by the woman on her mobile phone was examined by a
reptile expert. It is not clear what type of snake it is as the head
is not visible.
Residents in Gascoigne are asked to be on the look-out in their
gardens and to call police if the snake is spotted.
Officers will then arrange to have the snake taken in by a local
specialist centre.
It is thought the snake may have been a pet which has either escaped
or been set loose.
