British Big Cats

Alan Fleming: Merseyside.
Alan Fleming is a Police officer in Merseyside. Alan has been interested in species conservation for many years, supporting wolf projects in Britain and Europe. This in turn led, much by accident, to a curiosity and interest in cryptozoology and then particularly to anomalous big cats in Britain. He became a more serious part time researcher after finding a cat footprint on the Camel river trail in Bodmin in 1999 and then in 2001, after spending some years travelling to the south of England searching, he found credible prey evidence three miles from where he lives !
Whilst not yet having had any sightings himself Alan has followed up on cat alerts in the Southport and Ormskirk area involving a Labrador sized black animal, now reported on about a dozen occasions in the last two years. He has also reported to the society on a Tan coloured animal seen by a local resident and videod on a golf course on the Wirral peninsular in late 2003. Sightings of a similar animal to this, in the same area, continue during 2004 and it is Alan's current project to try and photographically capture the animal.
Alan is married, 51 years old and a keen photographer with advanced camera equipment to to try and capture images of these animals. He is happy for anyone to contact him by email with details of their sightings or for further assistance.
